Fun with Bones and Preschoolers!

We have a wonderful preschool program going for our 4-year-olds, taught by none other than our own highly organized and creative Kami Pettit, of our Waco II ward. Five of us banded together last year when we noticed our 3-year-olds who were hungry for learning were also only months apart. We decided we wanted something better than what we could pay lots of money to send our kids to. This year, we've said good-bye to a few friends and welcomed a couple more to the group. New this year are the Sabins and the Pancratz (who joined in at the end of last year).

It's held at Kami's house each Tuesday morning, and the kids sure have a blast. They are learning more than just their ABC's and 123's this year. They're learning musical concepts, math concepts, and science. They're learning the basics of reading, including sight words. They're learning about the human body, safety, and this month, they will be learning about Space, the Planets, and Geography! They are all up to this, and they are developing each in their own sweet way!

Here are some pictures of the kids on their field trip last month to the Mayborn Museum where they had a special Bones Exhibit. Josh described it as "pretty awesome."
